WHAT TO WEAR AT YOUR BOUDOIR SHOOT
Wondering what in the world you’re supposed to wear for you upcoming boudoir session? No worries, you’ve come to the right place.
First, let’s start by saying:
Lingerie is NOT a requirement for your photoshoot to be considered a boudoir session. And I know what you’re thinking, “isn’t that the whole point of a boudoir session?” Well the short answer is NO! When it comes to boudoir whatever makes you feel SEXY, CONFIDENT, AND GORGEOUS, is what you should be wearing.
But let’s not ignore the power of lingerie
You know when they say, “you should dress how you want to feel?” Well that is what lingerie does for you. That little number you go and pick up when you feel like being a little extra spicy for your partner and you throw it on under a sexy outfit or maybe just a trench coat (we’ve all seen the movies when the girl show up to the guy’s house in a coat and nearly nothing on under it) to surprise them. Yeah that is the feeling we’re chasing.
If you’re into lingerie, here are a few pieces to keep in mind when planning what to wear during your boudoir shoot:
Bodysuits/teddies - My two favorite pieces for EveryBODY
Matching bra and panty sets are always super easy to find and you might already have some favorites
Robes
Accessories - think body jewelry, heels, garters, harnesses, fishnets/stockings

Everyday clothing is sexy too
The power of a casual, everyday, piece of clothing is far to under utilized in boudoir. We all have that favorite pair of jeans, the ones that fit just right that accentuate all of our curves. Yeah, bring those jeans with you. Or that regular basic shirt that you typical just throw on if you want to be somewhat put together while running errands. Yeah, I’m going to need you to bring that as well.
It’s all about how these items are styled. Throw on those jeans with a cute bra and panty and lower the waistline just enough to see the panty, and BOOM you have a fun and flirty boudoir look.
Or do the opposite. An oversized chunky sweater with a cute thong or lace panty can turn the spice all the way up. Ultimately, the power of clothing comes from how you accessorize them and dress your body with them.
Rule of thumb - If you feel sexy it, it will be evident in your photos.
Nothing At ALL!
Nothing like stripping down and baring it all. Nudity is natural, and we as a society, need to learn to embrace the art of being naked in front of ourselves. The human form is a work of art and should be celebrated as such. There is nothing nasty or shameful about our bodies. Learning to embrace your form for what it is right now is a beautiful and freeing feeling.
Regardless to how you feel about your body today, as Samantha said on Sex In The City, “When I’m old and my tits are in my shows, I can look at this picture and say, damn I was hot”. Your future self deserves to have this feeling.
Rather you go full on nude or suggestive nude or no nudity at all, it is your session and you’re in control of how much or how little you want to show.
